Career Specialties

All forms of drawing, with a focus on observational drawing as a tool of critical thinking. Experimental and non-traditional applications of mixed media within two-dimensional fine art.Ìý

Professional and Community Activities

Diaz's artwork is actively shown nationally, being included several times in Manifest Galleries annual Drawn exhibition. His work was recently shown in the group exhibition Drawing from Perception, Invention, and Memory, juried by Eve Mansdorf, and a solo exhibition at Leslie Powell Gallery in Lawton, Oklahoma. He has won several awards such as the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant and the American Austrian Foundation Seebacher Prize, as well as being a finalist for the 2019 AXA Art Prize.Ìý
