СÓÅÊÓƵampavotes! is a non-partisan initiative that was created to equip students with voter education resources, aiding them in the voter registration process and guiding them on how to cast their ballot.
The СÓÅÊÓƵampa Democracy Coalition stands as our non-partisan collaborative team, entrusted with leading endeavors and fostering awareness of responsible citizenship activities throughout the СÓÅÊÓƵ community. Our Action Plan for the ALL-IN Democracy Campus Challenge is informed by our participation in the National Study of Learning, Voting and Engagement (NSLVE) campus report and by our own goals for the СÓÅÊÓƵ community.
Our СÓÅÊÓƵ partners come from across the university representing faculty fromÌýall four colleges, staff from OSLE, First-Year Studies, ResLife, Public Affairs, Career Services and students from SG. We also have wonderful СÓÅÊÓƵ alums and amazing community partners from the Hillsborough Supervisor of Elections office.

Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections
Students who live on campus and would like to register to vote in Hillsborough County, Florida, will need to know their СÓÅÊÓƵ residential address with dorm number and their PO Box where mail is received. You can find a list ofÌýСÓÅÊÓƵ building residential address here on SpartanNet.
Mailbox Information:ÌýAll residential students are assigned a campus mailbox number. Your mailbox is confirmed, activated and ready to accept mail once you have completed the check-in process with Residence Life upon your arrival. Once assigned, mailbox information and address format can be located inÌýWorkday.
Register to Vote
Should IÌýregister to voteÌýin Florida or in my home state?ÌýÌýÌý
That depends on you. The choice is yoursÌýbut you can only be registered in one state. As a college student attending СÓÅÊÓƵ, you can choose to be registered to vote in Florida or in your home state. Each student has a different situation. If you are from out-of-state, take a moment to talk with other students and learn about any limitations or requirements in Florida and your home states.ÌýÌýhas a handy state guide you can consult for many of your questions.ÌýÌýÌý
- What if I am registered in Florida but in another town/county, and I want to register here in Tampa/Hillsborough? That’s easy. You just need toÌý.ÌýÌý
- How do I register to vote? You can visitÌýÌýfor all the information you need on registering to vote. Ìý
- If I register in Florida, what type ofÌýFlorida voter ID requirementsÌýdo I need?ÌýYou can choose toÌýÌýor you may choose toÌýÌýat one of the early voting sites. There is always one close to campus. You will needÌý.Ìý
Absentee Ballot
If you are registered in your home stateÌýor outside of Hillsborough County (eg.ÌýMiami, Orlando, Jacksonville,Ìýetc.)Ìýyou will want toÌýÌýso that you can vote.ÌýRemember to request it early andÌýdon’tÌýforget to send it back at least a week before election day.
